To be a surgeon

Hello all!
Just had a wonderful buffet at Tao with kahkei's family. SO full right now and I cant sleep when im too full.. I have had GERD since year one from doing intermittent fasting with coffee. (Stupid idea)

So after setting my target since last post... I have worked harder in my studies.
However, the more I know, the more I know I don't know.

It is not easy..
But, I learnt something today. It is from some india website. In getting MRCS and MS in surgery.

Basically I have to set a goal right now. My goal is to be a surgeon.
So after setting my goal, everything is easier.
Everything I do right now is either bringing me nearer to my goal or pulling me away from my goal.
In order to get to my goal as soon as possible, I need to have laser focus.

Thats my main goal in my medical life (To be a surgeon)

Lost my account

The reason i stopped blogging for the past 2 years is I lost my blogspot account!
Not exactly lost. It is more like forgetting the existence of my old email. The problem with having too many email account!

Just got back from hospital night rounds. This is my first night oncall in HSB. Im now a year 5 medical student, in my second posting of my final year right now (Surgery)

The past few days I've been googling alot on "How to become surgeon" in Malaysia.
It is tough. Getting a MRCS does not mean you are a surgeon in Malaysia. There is no clinical training in MRCS. Only theory and OSCE therefore its not recognised as a qualification to operate on patient.

In Malaysia, the only way to operate legally is via getting a Master in Surgery in government university. It is tough. The competition is tough. But nothing is impossible as the word says I M Possible.

Gotta pray my best and do my best is order to secure a seat for master in surgery in 3 years time!

Things to do to get accepted into Master in surgery

1. MRCS (Ireland)
2. Masters in Surgical Sciences (MSc)
3. Masters in Surgical Anatomy (MSc Surg. Anatomy)
5. Basic Surgical Sciences
6. Attending as many Surgical Related Workshops as possible
4. ATLS/MTLS/ACLS/PALS
